We joined our Rick Steves tour group in Varenna, on Lake Como. We hiked up to a hillside cemetery, reached a Castle on top of the hill, and ferried over to other villages on the lake.
Lake Como: On to Varenna! We took the train from Milan and nervously asked some folks on the train if we were going the right way! We were, and after about an hour arrived in Varenna, on Lake Como. This is as we were dropped off at the little train station.
Lake Como: We walked down to the lake and were immediately captivated by its beauty.
Lake Como: A walkway right on the lake. Ferries were scurrying back and forth. Were we in heaven?
