the Cinque Terre (Five Lands) was next. We stayed in Monterosso and hiked the path between the villages. We can't wait to go back!

Cinque Terre: Monterosso Bay at dusk. Because the sun sets somewhat to the right of this photo, the beach--one of the few in the Cinque Terre--is in shadows early. That doesn't stop a lot of beach worshippers from renting their space and staying there all day!
