a hilltop town with an extraordinary duomo, Orvieto was definitely worth the too-short daytrip.
Orvieto: The Duomo, begun in 1290, took 300 years to build and is technically not finished yet. We were surprised and delighted with this little hilltop town, which we'd never heard of before this tour and are now grateful we saw it.
